41. Whether the physically handicapped official are eligible for the grant of split duty Allowance?
If they have to necessarily attended split duty in spite of their physical handicap, there is no bar to the split duty allowance being paid to them in addition to transport allowance double the rates.
42. Whether Sundays/Holidays/CL/RH have to be taken as duty for the purpose of drawal of Split duty allowance?
The Split Duty Allowance is payable on a monthly basis and not on day to day basis. If the substitute is posted for more than 15 days then the allowance may be proportionately shared by the incumbent and the substitute.

43. Whether the officials who are sanctioned OTA and OT hours fall within the break up spells needed for the grant of Split Duty Allowance are eligible for payment of the allowance.
If OTA is arranged in split duty times continuously and for more than 15 days, then the allowance may not be available as the official is continuously working and he is compensated for the extra work.
