48. Is there any time limit fixed for settlement of OT Claims?

      Yes. As per No. 1076/70-PE II dated 12.10.70, the OTA claims of the staff are to be settled within six weeks of their submission.

49. What is the time limit to convert the compensatory off proposed for the duty performed on a particular day to OTA?

     If compensatory off for duty performed on a particular weekly off day cannot be granted within a week of performance of such duty, then OTA may be granted. However the subsequent weekly off should not be postponed.

50. Is there any time limit prescribed to avail the compensatory off provided in lieu of OTA?

As per OM, dated 27-11-1965 read with OM, dated 20-3-1967 compensation off CH is to be granted within a month of its becoming due and this can be relaxed by the HOD on account of administrative convenience

51. Whether cash overseers or other indoor staff performing duties of cash overseer are entitled to the grant of OTA for the detention beyond normal duty hours.?

     Yes. They are entitled for OTA along with driver and mail peon.

52. If one Group D arrangement is there, can it be managed by ordering OTA or any short term arrangement to be made?

     The first preference in such short term arrangements against Group ‘D’ Posts should be given to ED Agents. Group D employees may be brought on over time duty, when ED Agents are not readily available.
