P.O. Guide – Part I
176. Book pocket containing greetings and invitation are given surface transmission only with first class mails.
177. IPOs are available in 4 denomination. ( 10,20,50,100)
178. For breach of condition, book pocket containing periodicals will be treated as letter / parcel whichever is less and difference in postage charged.
179. If any communication is on the address side or if the post card is cut/ altered/ folded or any attachment, the post card will be treated as violating the conditions for posting and will be treated as letter.
180. If a book packet infringe the condition of size and weight, it will be returned to the sender after cancelling the stamps.
181. Persons changing their address should furnish written instructions regarding the disposal of postal articles received to their address to the post offices both at the place where they are leaving and where they are settling.
182. Complaints relating to VP article should be tendered only at the PO where the VP article was posted.
183. A Postal article reposted after having been opened or reposted is treated as an article posted for the first time and due charges will be collected accordingly.
184. Time limit for complaints relating to compensation of insured articles is three month from the date of posting.
185. Void MO can be paid to the remitter or payee if application is made before the expiry of 12 months from the issue of original M.O.
186. IPOS are sold and paid directly only at HO & SO. The BOs are not authorised for sale of IPOS.
187. The MO can be stopped before payment and demanded for repaying to remitter for which these is no fee /cost.
188. Service for sending parcels in large consignment throughout the nation and international is called as logistic post.
189. The Speed Post bar code would contain 13 characters.
190. Undelivered acknowledgement cards are to be destroyed after four months.
191. A Family allotment money orders is remitted by the defence authorities.
192. The Broken amount of an IPO can be made up by affixing 4 stamps. The value should not exceed Rs.3.
193. Maximum weight of the ILC is 5 grm.
194. Size limit of the Post card is 14 x 9 cm.
195. SAL means 'surface Air lifted’
196. e - IOD means 'Electronic intimation of delivery.
197 NBMS means – National Bill mail service.
198. Minimum number of articles to the presented at a time under NBMS would be 10,000 /-
199. National Bill Mail services charges are first 50 gms – INR 5/- every additional 50 grams – Rs. 2/-
200. Express parcel service is discontinued.

177. ஐபிஓக்கள் 4 விதமான மதிப்புகளில் கிடைக்கின்றன (10, 20, 50, 100).
178. நிபந்தனை மீறப்பட்டால், பருவ இதழ்களைக் கொண்ட புத்தகப் பொட்டலம் எது குறைவோ அந்த அடிப்படையில் கடிதம் / பார்சலாகக் கருதப்பட்டு, தபால் கட்டண வித்தியாசம் வசூலிக்கப்படும்.
179. முகவரி பக்கத்தில் ஏதேனும் தகவல் இருந்தால் அல்லது போஸ்ட் கார்டு வெட்டப்பட்டாலோ/மாற்றப்பட்டாலோ/மடிக்கப்பட்டாலோ அல்லது ஏதேனும் இணைப்பு இருந்தாலோ, அந்த போஸ்ட் கார்டு அனுப்புவதற்கான நிபந்தனைகளை மீறியதாகக் கருதப்பட்டு கடிதமாகக் கருதப்படும்.
180. ஒரு புத்தகப் பொட்டலம் அளவு மற்றும் எடை நிபந்தனைகளை மீறினால், முத்திரைகள் ரத்து செய்யப்பட்ட பிறகு அது அனுப்புநருக்கு திருப்பி அனுப்பப்படும்.
181. முகவரி மாறும் நபர்கள், அவர்கள் விட்டுச் செல்லும் இடத்திலும், அவர்கள் குடியேறும் இடத்திலும் உள்ள தபால் நிலையங்களுக்கு, தங்கள் முகவரிக்கு வரும் தபால் பொருட்களை என்ன செய்வது என்பது குறித்து எழுத்துப்பூர்வமான அறிவுறுத்தல்களை வழங்க வேண்டும்.
182. விபி கட்டுரை தொடர்பான புகார்கள் விபி கட்டுரை அனுப்பப்பட்ட தபால் நிலையத்தில் மட்டுமே தெரிவிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
183. திறக்கப்பட்ட அல்லது மீண்டும் அனுப்பப்பட்ட தபால் கட்டுரை முதல் முறையாக அனுப்பப்பட்ட கட்டுரையாகக் கருதப்பட்டு, அதற்கேற்ப கட்டணம் வசூலிக்கப்படும்.
184. காப்பீடு செய்யப்பட்ட கட்டுரைகளுக்கான இழப்பீடு தொடர்பான புகார்களுக்கு காலக்கெடு அனுப்பிய நாளிலிருந்து மூன்று மாதங்கள்.
185. அசல் மணியார்டர் வழங்கப்பட்ட நாளிலிருந்து 12 மாதங்களுக்குள் விண்ணப்பம் செய்யப்பட்டால், செல்லாத மணியார்டர் அனுப்புநருக்கோ அல்லது பெறுநருக்கோ செலுத்தப்படலாம்.
186. ஐபிஓக்கள் தலைமை அலுவலகம் மற்றும் துணை அலுவலகங்களில் மட்டுமே நேரடியாக விற்கப்பட்டு செலுத்தப்படுகின்றன. கிளை அலுவலகங்களுக்கு ஐபிஓக்கள் விற்பனை செய்ய அதிகாரம் இல்லை.
187. பணம் செலுத்துவதற்கு முன் மணியார்டரை நிறுத்தலாம் மற்றும் அனுப்புநருக்கு திருப்பித் தருமாறு கோரலாம், இதற்கு கட்டணம் எதுவும் இல்லை.
188. நாடு முழுவதும் மற்றும் சர்வதேச அளவில் பெரிய அளவில் பார்சல்களை அனுப்பும் சேவை லாஜிஸ்டிக் போஸ்ட் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
189. ஸ்பீட் போஸ்ட் பார் குறியீடு 13 எழுத்துக்களைக் கொண்டிருக்கும்.
190. டெலிவரி செய்யப்படாத ஒப்புகை அட்டைகள் நான்கு மாதங்களுக்குப் பிறகு அழிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
191. குடும்ப ஒதுக்கீடு மணியார்டர்கள் பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரிகளால் அனுப்பப்படுகின்றன.
192. ஐபிஓவின் உடைந்த தொகையை 4 முத்திரைகள் ஒட்டுவதன் மூலம் சரிசெய்யலாம். மதிப்பு ரூ.3 ஐ தாண்டக்கூடாது.
193. ஐஎல்சியின் அதிகபட்ச எடை 5 கிராம்.
194. போஸ்ட் கார்டின் அளவு வரம்பு 14 x 9 செ.மீ.

198. NBMS இன் கீழ் ஒரே நேரத்தில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய குறைந்தபட்ச கட்டுரைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை 10,000/-.
199. தேசிய மொத்த அஞ்சல் சேவை கட்டணங்கள்: முதல் 50 கிராம் - ரூ. 5/- ஒவ்வொரு கூடுதல் 50 கிராமுக்கும் - ரூ. 2/-.
200. விரைவு பார்சல் சேவை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது
