164. Is there any instructions to post the SC/ST candidates to near their native place?
Yes. They may be given posting, as far as possible, subject to administrative constraints, near their native places within their region.

165. Is there any preference in postings of persons with disabilities near their native places?
Yes. As far as possible, they may be given posting near their native places within the region. Request for transfer to or near their native places may also be given preference.

166. Will an employee acquires disability after appointment is entitled the benefit of reservation?
An employee who acquires disability after entering into service will be entitled to get the benefit of reservation as a person with disability as provided in the instructions contained in the above-referred OM from the date he produces a valid certificate of disability.

167. What is the preference in arrangements in short term vacancies in Group D posts?
The first preference in such short term arrangements against Group D posts should be given to ED Agents and Group D employees may be brought on over time duty only, when ED Agents are not readily available.
